1. Controller
The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is Matthias Schultner, Badener Straße 58, A-2700 Wiener Neustadt, Austria, office@matthiasschultner.com, +43 676 833 87 115.
2. Principles
Personal data is only processed when there is a legal basis, such as the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, a legal obligation, your consent or a legitimate interest (Art. 6(1) GDPR). I take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data; the connection to this website is encrypted via HTTPS.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. When you visit, the server processes technically necessary access data: IP address, date and time, requested page, referring page, browser and operating system. This serves the secure and stable operation of the website (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The hosting provider processes this data on my behalf (data processing, Art. 28 GDPR) and only for as long as necessary for these purposes.
4. Contact
If you write to me or call me, I process your details (name, contact details, content of your enquiry) to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. I do not pass this data on without your consent unless it is necessary to perform a contract or for invoicing, or I am legally obliged to do so.
5. Cookies and consent
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies or any analytics services. The only technically necessary cookies are: “pll_language” (chosen language, until you close your browser), “wp-postpass_…” (access to the password-protected area, 12 hours, only after entering the password) and “wm_consent” (your choice in the privacy window, 6 months). The legal basis is § 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 and my legitimate interest in a working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). For embedded external media (section 7) I ask for your consent on your first visit (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can change or withdraw it at any time via “Cookies” in the footer.
6. Fonts
The Montserrat font is stored directly on this server. No connection to Google or other font providers is made when the website loads.
7. Embedded videos (YouTube, Vimeo)
Some projects contain embedded videos. They are only loaded once you agree (“Load video” or “External media” in the privacy window). Data such as your IP address and device and browser information is then transferred to the respective provider: YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; in privacy-enhanced mode via youtube-nocookie.com) or Vimeo (Vimeo.com, Inc., 330 West 34th Street, New York, USA). Data may be transferred to the USA; the providers are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
8. External links
Films on the “Film” page and links to Instagram, YouTube or partners are links only. Only when you click a link do you leave this website, and the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.
9. Password-protected area
Access to the dark mode only sets the password cookie (section 5). To prevent misuse, the number of password attempts per IP address is stored in pseudonymised form for 15 minutes and then deleted automatically (legitimate interest in security, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
10. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. Please contact office@matthiasschultner.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna (dsb.gv.at).
11. Retention
Data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for its purpose, unless statutory retention periods (for example for invoices) apply.
12. Changes
I update this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies. Last updated: October 2026.
